Android Authority Best of CES 2026: The Standout Gadgets Worth Watching

It’s a tradition that Las Vegas attracts techies flocking from all over in January of each year, and this year won’t be any different from CES 2026. The event was Jan. 6-9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center with all the answers from foldable cell phones to robot vacuums to smart glasses. There are thousands of announcements and it’s difficult to determine which are important. That is why the Android Authority Best of CES 2026 list is helpful – it filters out the products that gained the attention of those who spent time with them on the show floor and impressed the editors.Let’s take a closer look at the winners and their message about where consumer tech is going.

Why CES Still Matters

CES isn’t all about flashy prototypes. It shows which ideas big brands are willing to bet on in the year ahead. This year, AI was built into nearly everything, and smart glasses seemed to be everywhere. Dell brought back its XPS brand, LG revived its Wallpaper TV, and Google showed off Gemini for Google TV. Nvidia’s Jensen Huang gave a keynote too, though he skipped new graphics cards.

Awards help cut through that noise. A badge doesn’t guarantee a product will be great once it ships, but it tells you what impressed reviewers in person.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold

Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold made its public debut at CES 2026 and drew crowds. This is the company’s boldest foldable to date and the design would open up into a much larger screen than a typical foldable phone. This type of format shifts the way you could utilise a pocket device, such as multitasking, reading or watching video material.

The TriFold takes the foldables concept to another level, as it’s about to make the phone and tablet indistinguishable so far.. Questions remain about durability, price and real-world usefulness, but it made the scene all about the statement of intent.

TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro

Not every winner needs to be a giant leap. TCL’s NXTPAPER 70 Pro focuses on a problem most of us share: tired eyes. The phone is designed with a screen approach that makes it feel like it’s more like paper, for people who spend a lot of time looking at their screens.

On a market where the majority of telephones are competing on megapixels in the camera and benchmark scores, a device centered on comfort tends to stick out. If you do read, write or scroll for hours per day, then this is a category to follow. It’s also a testament to how smartphone manufacturers are finally taking electronic wellbeing into account, beyond the software timers.

Roborock Saros Rover

Robot vacuums have made considerable strides in recent years but Roborock’s Saros Rover is a different breed. Lifts off of flat floors, reimagining the way a cleaning robot can navigate a house. These are the areas where robot vacuums typically fail: anyone who has stairs, thresholds, or has a lot of clutter in their room knows that this is where they usually fail.

The Saros Rover proposes that future smart home robots will be more mobile than they are just suction powered. That may be hard to do in a typical house, but it’s a breath of fresh air over incremental enhancements.

XGIMI Memo One

XGIMI is best known for projectors, so its move into wearables surprised many people. The Memo One is the lead product of a new brand called MemoMind, and it enters the busy smart glasses space with a stylish approach.

This year, the smart glasses were everywhere at CES, but there were a lot of unfulfilled smart glasses. When a hardware brand with a solid reputation gets involved in the business, it’s a positive sign that it’s a maturing category. The design, comfort and everyday-use of these glasses will make the difference between it becoming a standard accessory and remaining a novelty.

Lenovo Legion Go 2 with SteamOS

Handheld gaming PCs keep getting more popular, and Lenovo’s SteamOS version of the Legion Go 2 aims to make them simpler to use. SteamOS isn’t designed as a full desktop operating system that’s crammed into a small screen, instead, it’s a console-style interface around a games library.

This streamlined tactic is great for players that want to pick up a device and start playing without getting into the nitty-gritty. It also reveals that software is as important as the hardware in this segment and, interestingly, more manufacturers are going with the SteamOS model.

What the Winners Tell Us

There are some common threads that run throughout this list. Form factors are reconsidered, like the tri-folding screens, the wearable display. Comfort and usability are getting more attention, as the NXTPAPER 70 Pro shows. And businesses are going beyond their traditional lines of business, with XGIMI abandoning projectors for glasses and with Roborock reimagining the robot vacuum.

Final Thoughts

CES is a combination of real innovation, and incredible demos that never get to the store. The Android Authority Best of CES 2026 winners are also a good indicator of concepts that actually seemed promising in person. However, don’t purchase anything before the full reviews, release dates and pricing have been confirmed. Many of these products on paper are exciting and it’s when they get in your hands where the real test will be made.
